Description
When you don't have a full day to spend learning to weld, our half day class offers the student a chance to spend 3 hours with our quality instructor and our state-of-the-art welding equipment. This is a great class for the beginner welder, the person who isn't quite certain they would enjoy welding but wants to try it, or a seasoned welder that is looking to brush up on their skills. This class focuses on the short-circuit MIG welding process for carbon steel and is geared toward thinner material, typically less than 1/4".
This class is 3 hours long with minimal lecture time, spending most of the time in the welding lab learning to weld - about 2 hours of "arc-on" time versus about 5 hours in a Full Day class. Choose either a Morning Session (8am-11am) or an Afternoon Session (12:30pm-3:30pm).
Students must be at least 18 years old to enroll in this class.
Students are encouraged to bring their own Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
Additional Information:
- If a student doesn't have the PPE described above, these items will be provided for use during class.
- Leather closed toed shoes are required in the welding lab.
- Absolutely no shorts or open toed shoes are allowed in the welding lab.
