Stick Welding - Full Day

Topics include:

• Fundamentals of Stick welding
• E7018 which is the top choice structural rod for building
• Equipment selection, set-up, and troubleshooting
• Equipment features, settings, and adjustments

The instructor will demonstrate basic welding techniques followed by instructor guided student practice. Advanced techniques will be covered as appropriate based on student interest and ability.

Students are encouraged to bring their own Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

• Safety glasses
• Protective welding jacket
• Welding gloves
• Welding helmet

Additional Information:

• If a student doesn't have the PPE described above, these items will be provided for use during class.
• Leather closed toed shoes are required in the welding lab.
• Absolutely no shorts or open toed shoes are allowed in the welding lab.
