Flux-Core Arc Welding - Full Day - FCAW

Students will be in the welding booth the majority of the time practicing basic to advanced techniques such as overhead and vertical welds. This class focuses on the use of the most common flux-core wire, E71T-11, which is used in hobby welding, home projects, or on gates and metal fences.

This class is six hours long (8am-3pm with an hour for lunch) with lecture and lab time.

Students are encouraged to bring their own Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

• Safety glasses
• Protective welding jacket
• Welding gloves
• Welding helmet

Additional Information:

• If a student doesn't have the PPE described above, these items will be provided for use during class.
• Leather closed toed shoes are required in the welding lab.
• Absolutely no shorts or open toed shoes are allowed in the welding lab.
